Light Cramping During Pregnancy
Light cramping is very common during pregnancy and it is usually nothing to worry about. The light cramping during the early pregnancy is usually as a result of implantation. This can come accompanied by the light spotting of implantation which goes away within a day or two. It is basically nothing to worry about. The cramping during this period can also be as a result of contractions of the uterus especially after a sexual encounter but it does not last long.
In the second trimester and the third trimester, the light cramping can be as a result of the stretching uterus and the growing belly which is now displacing organs or pressing on them causing the cramping. It is usually a situation that gets better with time and a few remedies can help in coping with the inevitable changes that the body is making as a result of the pregnancy. Bloating and gas are some of the other culprits with the light cramping and hence pregnant women need to find out which foods are gassy and can be avoided during pregnancy to keep the situations at bay.
Light cramping during pregnancy is therefore not a cause for alarm. Only in situations where it turns to be severe and comes accompanied by other signs such as bleeding and stomach aches does it indicate that something is very wrong and the immediate treatment is required. It is not as hard to deal with the light and normal cramping during pregnancy and hence if you find that you are struggling under the cramping, then it should be time to seek the intervention of your doctor to find out what could be wrong. Quick response can save your life and that of the unborn baby and hence such situations should never be ignored at all.
